Balloon Wine
From the recipe book of Earlene Glenn
 |
This issue's guest recipe is from Spiel des Jahre nominee Stephen Glenn's mom.
Here's a recipe for a little something we been making in my family since I was a girl. It’s called Balloon Wine and it hits the spot on those dog days of Summer. I hope you like it. Stephen does, or at least pretends to. |
Balloon Wine
Ingredients
1 gallon milk jug
1 balloon
3 cups of sugar
½ tsp of dry yeast
1 x 12 oz can of frozen
grape juice concentrate
Method
Thaw juice and dissolve the yeast
in warm water.
Place in jug and top up with
cold water.
Shake thoroughly and put balloon
over neck of jug.
The balloon should inflate in
a few hours.
Let sit for 4-6 weeks or until
the balloon deflates.
