Feuriously Hot Hotwings

This issue's guest recipe is from Heinrich Glumpler, designer of Feurio! and Fette Autos. He loves to eat Haehnchenschenkel, as they are called in Germany, with buttered bread and a tall frosty glass of milk. Or beer.

Feuriously Hot Hotwings

Ingredients: Wings
5-8 lbs of wings, trimmed
16 oz Italian salad dressing
1 cup water
2 tsp Tabasco sauce.
Salt and black pepper to taste.

Ingredients: Finishing Sauce
1 Cup catsup
1 Cup mustard
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs Tabasco sauce
Apple juice to thin if needed

Method

Pour 1/4th of the wings mixture into a
stainless steel bowl.

Dip the wings into the sauce on their
way to the grill.

Keep the remainder of the sauce warm
and baste the wings as needed.

Grill wings until no more pink is
visible in the meat.

Simmer finishing sauce ingredients and
mix well.

Baste the wings with finishing sauce
when the wings are done.

Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing.

About the Author: Heinrich Glumpler was born on the 14th of May 1959, in a small spot in the south of Germany — you could hardly call it a "village" &emdash; named Tannenwirtshaus. He started his gaming career by writing writing add-ons and translating materials for RPGs. In 1997, Heinrich founded Edition Erlkoenig with Mario Truant to produce roleplaying games and boardgames. They began to specialize in boardgames and translated "The Tales of the Arabian Nights" and published it as "Geschichten aus 1001 Nacht". Today they publish their own boardgames.
